1997 Land Rover Defender 90 2-Door 4WD

This 1997 RHD Land Rover Defender 90 is one of approximately 656 examples built for the South African market during a five-year production run that is powered by a  2.8-liter BMW M52 inline-six. A body-off refurbishment was commissioned by the owner in 2024 in South Africa before it was imported to the US.

 Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in Keswick green with a white roof over Saddle tan leather interior with a Alcantara roof lining, the truck is equipped with LED exterior lighting, 16? steel wheels, tubular side steps, Alpine windows, a receiver hitch, air conditioning, and inward-facing rear jump seats. This Defender 90 has 303k kilometers (~188k miles) and is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Georgia title.

The truck is fitted with a One Nav entertainment screen including a reverse camera.

Body-color Keswick Green with White roof, 16 inch steel wheels are mounted with Mud-Terrain T/A tires, and a matching spare is mounted to the rear swing-out door.

The front bucket seats and rear inward-facing jump seats are trimmed in Saddle tan leather,  equipment includes air conditioning, a dash-mounted USB charging port and analog clock, black rubber floor mats, and a padded center console with cup holders.

The two-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in stitched gray upholstery and frames a 200-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level.

South African-market Defenders were offered with the BMW-sourced 2.8-liter M52 inline-six between 1997 and 2001. Output was rated at 192 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque when new.
